This is the long awaited followup to the USPN Flex32 tutorial, and guides
you through the setup of the excellent Paxon terminal software that works so well with Flex32. Sorry I was so slow! The web-site, installer program and help files for Paxon are all in German, but the program comes up in English. This new tutorial will guide you through the web-site and installation process, leaving you after your first packet connection with Flex32 and Paxon. Flex32 and Paxon are great for many varieties of packet, including regular old AX25 at 1200 baud of course, but many hams are not aware of the fact that Flex32 and Paxon will get you on HF too, in the new Q15x25 mode, called "Newqpsk" in the Flex32 control panel's drivers list. Q15x25 mode uses 15 psk streams at 88 baud each for an effective 2500 baud on HF. It is a wide-mode, similar to PACTOR III in this respect. It acts a lot like packet, but with more throughput of course. Q15x25 enthusiasts often swap JPEG pictures, since Q15x25 has excellent error-correction. The new Paxon tutorial can be found in the "Tutorials" page at USPN: http://www.uspacket.net Please let me know about any mistakes, ambiguities or omissions; I just hacked it out this morning!
