Get a clue, this modem was based on an old CP/M machine of the
last century. What the hell do you want? I bet you paid $5 for it, and
now you're complaining that you want it to work like a $25 WiFi card.

Anyway does anyone know any today soft who work with this thing?
Why i feel like sucker ?

Get AGWPE for Win-Dos or a KISS ROM and hook it to Linux. Then
you can relive the 1980's again. But somehow I think this modem is too
complex for you. You seem to be non-technical??

You'll see lots of TNC source code start at 0x0100 for development.
The Z-80, and I/O on the TNC-2 were all common to CP/M machines.

I developed C programs on my H-89 for TNC-2 for 10 years. My last

Ah--C/80 from Software Toolworks! I think I paid $20 bucks for it, and
sold about $20,000 worth of software using it (non-Ham). Alas, my H-89

Sprite Video card (cut off the Apple bus, drilled holes for wires, and super-
glued it into a rectangular hole made into the H-89 development board),

color and sprites were neat though. Finally broke down and bought an
IBM clone with a flip-top case, running 4.88 MHz (used that until 1993
when I bought a honkin 66 MHz motherboard!) That's about the time I
got into ISDN routers and really started making money...

a terminal program that will let you run the TNC. You just won't have all
the special hot key commands that are specific to packet. That thing has to
be 10 or 15 years old by now. While I can't speak for the whole world, in
many areas the packet operation is much a thing of the past except for the
DX clusters.

Well i was using baycom serials until now.
And homebrew interfaces for sstv and hamcom.(cw, rtty).
I have just buy the 1278b for my new ft-857 expecting
with one software to cover everything digital =
(packet,psk31,rtty,pactor,amtor
and more) one program one rig,when at the same time a baycom will run at =
the
other serial, and agw with SB.
I have pay for the mfj 1278, 310 euros. One and a half access point =
greece
prices =20

I want to say i love packet and i feel sory to see it dying.
But i believe in it. I believe it still has life.
It can still give services. We need imagination and Speed.
Packet must move on 2 Ghz and more, maby 3 or 4 ,keeping
at the same time the today speeds 1200, 9600 as backup.
New rigs, or maby up converters at the first steps must be build.
A packet up there and fast is not the same with wireless today nets.
It will be more free and controlable from the operator.
This is the first class position who belong to packet.
Real time video,voice and data at the same time.
Thats the packet im dreaming
