Default High Speed Packet Kits?

Are there any high speed (128 or 256kb) packet kits (PCB +
hardware/components) available for the 70cm or 23cm bands?

Would need a full kit including the radio and digital section so I can plug
the computer in one end and the antenna in the other.

I have searched the web and can't find anyone selling these things for a
reasonable price.

Hi Marcus,

I guess I must be a cheapskate. Iwas after a reasonable price. As far as I
can determine for these you have to buy the radios and modems separately
and 2 of each would cost $4,500 Australian even as Kits.

It would be both simpler and cheaper just to get two Icom ID-1s at $4,400
for the two and plug them straight in.

One of the mail reasons I was asking about kits was to find a less expensive
alternative.

They seem to have a good network in Slovenia [well at least before we
dropped a heap of bombs on them]

Um, we (presume you mean US/NATO) have never bombed Slovenia, at least
not since WWII. Not even close. Serbia, which we have bombed recently,
is on the other end of what was formerly known as Yugoslavia.

Thanks for the correction then.

Do you know where I can get suitable radios from?
