Greetings!
I'm trying to get up and running with a couple of the soundcard-based digital transceive programs. I am running the audio output from my computer to the six-pin data port on the rear of my IC-706 (pin 1, data in). No matter how I configure the audio settings on my computer, I cannot get any signal to transmit. I tried both VOX and manual keying to turn on the transmitter, but no power goes out. When I disconnect the plug from the audio output jack on my computer, I can hear the SSTV warbling very clearly, but it isn't making it out of the transmitter. I've seen it recommended that an audio transformer be inserted between computer and radio as an isolator, but it's also stated that it's only to give clear tones. Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance! Jeff, WK3U |
