It's very simple. The Google funded technology is set to use only frequencies that will not interfere with ham bands. Ed Hare (W1RFI) has tested these systems and found no interference on ham bands. He has found interference on other bands, but users of those frequencies have shown no interest in his findings. In Australia, operators of costal radio stations (marine mobile service) have complained, but no one in the U.S. has. The current of the FCC has come out 100% in support of BPL. Geoff. -- Geoffrey S.
