3Y0E on Bouvet.
One op. One frequency, 14260. One mode, SSB. Greets his callers. And REAL signal reports!!!! In 44 years of hamming, never have I heard a DXpedition with these characteristics. Amazing. Heartwarming. |

![]() It's probably because he isn't a DXpedition..... If you go to his web page, http://3y0e.com right there on the top of his page it refers to "3Y0E Amateur Radio DXpedition" Oh well, no big deal. Rick K2XT |

If you go to his web page, http://3y0e.com right there on the top of his page it refers to "3Y0E Amateur Radio DXpedition" Oh, OK, I haven't checked that. But it's not a DXpedition in the sense of a bunch of people setting up somewhere rare for the sole purpose of handing out 59s or 599s to the waiting masses. As I understand it, he's getting on the air for a short time each day when there is power, he is a very new ham, and is just trying to make people happy. He's there for completely different reasons. It's great that he gets on the air, but I'm happy that I'm old enough to have worked Bouvet already :-) Derek aa5bt |
