The number of days with fog and mist in the past thirty years has
fallen sharply in Europe - To know where/how/when with the weather
I visit he webpages of the Dutch KNMI on a regular basis. Some days
ago there was a small news item on their webpages that during the
last 20 years the number of days with heavy fog decreased by 50%.
This is, concluded by a study, contributing to the global warming.
The news item is in Dutch so Frank, did translate it for you

EME Activity from Nigeria in next months...
Bodo will be working in Abuja/Nigeria for several month. This will
give me the opportunity to bring EME to the Nigerian Amateur Radio
Club. Please remember that I will be there for work reasons so I
cannot be on air as much as on my other DXpeditions. However, I
will take all of the equipment there and try to be on the bands
as often as possible. The call sign for EME activities might be
5N0EME but its not confirmed yet. All other HF activities will
be with the call 5N/KT3Q. The EME activities will be focused on
2m and 23cm. Equipment is planned to be as listed below. If you
have anything that I could use during that time, I would be happy
to take it there and maybe leave it there as donation for the
radio club. SUBCRIBE/Bookmark: www.mmmonvhf.de/latest.php?id=2244

Camb-Hams on Harris DX Pedition 2009 (IO67)
After a very successful Dx pedition in 2008 to the Island of Mull
the Camb-Hams have decided on another DX Pedition for 2009. We
have agreed on the Island of Harris for this years location which
is off the north west coast of Scotland. The format of the trip
will be the similar to last year, where we shall have stations
on HF voice and data, most bands inc 5Mhz, alongside 6m, 4m, 2m
and possibly 70cm (SSB, JT6m and MS). There will be lots of
portable operation around the islands (possible interest to
WAB chasers) and 3 very energetic climbers activating SOTA
summits all week. Read more about these upcoming trip in detail:
