/////////////////////////////////////////// Alaska QSO Party 23 March 2013 Posted: 20 Feb 2013 08:23 AM PST http://forums.qrz.com/showthread.php...3&goto=newpost On the 23rd of March starting at 1800GMT the Great Alaska QSO Party goes live. This event will run until Sunday 24 March at 2359GMT. This is a two part event with the HF portion happening in March. For the latest information go to kl7yk.us/akqso.htm Second port of the event will be in July, date not decided on just yet. That second half will be the 50mhz and up portion. HF will be on 10,20,30,40,80 and 160m using CW, SSB, PSK31 or RTTY. So something for everyone. Listen up on the 23rd of March for Alaskans calling CQ AK QSO Party! If you need Alaska for your log this would be the event to try and get it. Again the website will contain the latest information, the exchange at this time is expected to be a simple serial number of the contact, call sign, operators first Name and their Maidenhead Grid Square. We don't have counties in Alaska. Join in the fun and lets make this first AK QSO Party a great success! ((((any beyond)))) As field day is just around the corner it looks like the Cambria Radio Club and Horseshoe Amateur Radio Club will hold "Mulit-Club Field Day 2013" at The New Germany Grove. Anybody remember the fun from last year?? Last year was a blast!!!. All hams and clubs looking for a place to go please reply ASAP with your desire to attend and if you wish to do anything form food, operation of a station, ARES or ACS booth, to learning, or even clean up. There will be a window forlocal operation on 146.520 Mhz after obtaining the 25 HF required contacts toqualify the island. Frequencies to beused are 14.250, 21.350 and 28.450 Mhz .
