Default DX on 10 meters? Solar min looking like solar max?

See http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2...inexplodes.htm
Seems the Sun is unexpectidly active for a solar min period. I just
moved, and I don't have my HF rig avaliable to me now, but maybe 10
meters has openings now? Like at solar max?

HF has been D E A D the last week or so, since that active region started
puking, and now it is rotated much more towards us. I and others in the
okc.ok.us area have had some problems hearing WWV, much less WWVH. I
haven't heard anything to speak of, other than two 10-meter beacons from
Ohio night before last.

But there may be openings -- and even enhanced propagation -- from time to
time. I keep looking.
