One of my "greenies" moved! Had a greenie for both CW and SSB on 18 MHz.
The SSB greenie moved to 14 MHz.
I sure hope that the logs are right as the DXA presentation does not
instill confidence. A great idea. Needs more refining. The uncertainty
leads to more insurance contacts than would otherwise be the case.

Currently the site says: "30 Sep 2005 1342Z DXA is running unattended.
It is possible that a server interruption will cause drop-out of some
data. You will know this if the display remains unchanged for more
than 10 minutes. Unfortunately, there is nothing to do but wait--the
operator is asleep! The system will be updated at about 2000Z. Thanks
to everyone for being patient while we work out the problems. The
entire DXA system has been stable and working for about 36 hours.
Don't forget: DXA IS NOT THE LOG! QSLing will be done using only the
Official K7C log. DXA is only a transient display of the current state
of the K7C DXpedition."

So if your greenies are screwed up it's cuz the op is asleep. :-)

A big at-a-boy for trying. It will be all smiles if all of the logged
greenies show up before they leave.

An additional observation: their 7 MHz SSB signal this morning became
much stronger when they switched from NA to JA. I speculate that they
mixed-up the antenna directions.

Too bad that this morning at my sunrise their 160 op decided to start
working JAs.

Nope, not concerned, I know it was a good contact, don't need a "greenie".
As it turned out it showed up 6 days after the contact, once again - go
figure.

It is probably worst for GM. They have to work right through the North
magnetic pole to reach K7C. That is the way it was with MI when VU4 was
on
the air. -- very, very weak signals and no apparent understanding of
propagation.

I don't know which way they are beaming but it sure as hell isn't south.
I've checked many of their skeds, the cluster and the KH6 beacon and neither
can be heard at this location, but boy, I can sure hear the pileups in
response. I guess it was not meant to be. Perhaps having a JA call might
help me.

Perhaps next time.
