Mine just happened on 17m: VU4BH
INFO by W3UR (DAILY DX): VU4BH was definetely a PIRATE Oh well... Peter Lemken So which was your second-best one, Peter...? :-) Last time I had a new country answer a CQ was over a decade ago and about 130 countries ago - a GJ... come to think of it, that was one of the last times I called CQ anyway. Mine's probably not terribly exotic, but got me going.
Last month, on 20m CW long-path, on a *completely* dead band, I got a response from Christian 5X1CW. This was from my mobile setup. I e-mailed him that day to make sure someone wasn't pulling my leg :-) On 3 Oct 2003 15:13:29 GMT, (Peter Lemken) wrote: Mine just happened on 17m: VU4BH Martti seems to be there to do a ham demo for local representatives and is active for one *hour* only. Wow. #301 in CW for me, with the three last new ones worked within one week, all with 100W and a vertical. Couple of minutes later I heard "QRL?" and with good conscience I keyed "NO". He came back with "NO DE CY0NSM UR 5NN". Nice one.
