For those of you in the United States, (perhaps even people outside)
please consider writing or e-mailing a comment about how important the real-time solar wind data is to our hobbies and emergency HF comms. --- Please do not crosspost any replies ---- Solar Wind Comment Period Nears Its End On April 3, 2006, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a press release announcing a call for public comment on the value of continuing real-time solar wind data, and products derived from such data, provided by the Space Environment Center. Since that time, NOAA has received many thoughtful, compelling comments regarding this issue. It is obvious that people put their valuable time and effort into expressing themselves, and their input is most appreciated. There is still time to add your comments, but time is running short. As stated in the April 3 press release, the comment period continues until May 18. All input is important, so, if you haven't voiced your opinion yet and would like to, please take the time to do so. Please send your comments to: or contact: NWS Contacts: Beth McNulty or Dorothy Haldeman Mail: National Weather Service Office of Climate, Water and Weather Services Aviation Services Branch 1325 East-West Highway, SSMC2 Silver Spring, MD 20910 Phone: 301-713-1726 x116 or 301-713-1726 x130 Thank You Space Environment Center |
