I don't use spots (no packet and the computer isn't even in the shack) but you can often tell where the last spot had the DX just by listening to the pileup move around. These guys miss out when the DX says, "Listening .210 to .250 [pause] and 14.190." I work 'em on 14.190 [g]. |

DXers have always helped other DXers -- a "one-ringer" in the middle of the
night, stations announcing the the QSX over a 2M repeater, cluster spots, etc. Some DXers prefer to do it alone; others are happy to have help. Live and let live. Mind your own business. Stop whining about what others do and work some DX....by whatever means you deem appropriate. 73, Dave, AA6YQ "Peter Lemken" wrote in message ... And most of these spots are plain wrong because these days the concept of zero-beat is less important than the last 2 digits of a transceiver's readout. I'd like my DXing without spoonfeeding, thank you. ![]() Don't believe anyone was grousing about how folks work DX. Agree with your comments below. Just addressing the original poster who sed: "I'd like my DXing without spoonfeeding, thank you." If that be true -- why does he use the packet cluster to find his DX ?? A form of spoon feeding sez I Wot say ye ?? -- Lamont Cranston The Shadow Knows "John Passaneau" wrote in message ...
