I did it direct through the FCC website, and the next day it was
updated in the online database, and they also mailed the new one.

This was a couple of years ago.

I did it on line (Kinky) and received my paper copy in about a week, and
this was by doing a MOD.

and
I'm on the Left Coast, so they have a very quick turnaround.
