Otherwise, you might make sure the ft100d wasn't screwed up when it
"was taken out of band." If nothing else, the warranty is probably void, and you'll have to finance your own servicing. I doubt the warrenty was voided by modding it. People mod them all the time for "MARS" and "CAP" use and it's perfectly fine. Since there seems to be only one mod for MARS/CAP, it should be ok. It will also allow you to operate on the new 60 meter band! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 73! de Andy KC2SSB (ex: KF4KHC/HL9HCT) Beachwood, NJ USA! What does it do that the original can not? What are the improvements? In the AES catalog, the 100 is discontinued and $270, the 120 is $330. ![]() The Ft 100d is a great radio I use mine mainly mobile with a atas 120 works well the differnce between the 100 and 120 is the 120 is supposed to be 20% quicker in operating between bands Derek "R. David Steele" wrote in message ... I friend wants to sell me his FT-100D with the ATAS-100 and connectivity kit for $700. The only time it was taken out of the box was to have the radio taken out of band. Is this a reasonable price? BTW, what is the difference between the ATAS-100 and the ATAS-120 (or is it 102)? |
