Repeater Help

Hello Folks,
Our Yaesu VX R5000 has been down for some time now.I am
not able to program new frequency in / also the existing memory cannot
be read.I hav the programming software.Also tried to RESET but not
possible.Any ideas or tips for repair!
Will be Grateful.
