I picked up a new in the box Palomar 300A.
Is the output clean enough to use with an FT-817
or similar QRP ham band transceiver on the ham bands?
Sez 4Win 400W out.
Low power output for base use has been stopping me buying
an FT-817.

What's the thing worth if I tried to sell it?
New in the box, still got the shipping foam inside
the cabinet. With Transformer, docs, box etc. ????

Not clear to me the amp would be unsuitable for CW operation,

I guess that's why the manual specifies 40 / 20 / 15 / 10 meter operation.

No, I'm not being obnoxious, just curious how one ham can sell
another ham ANY amplifier under those rules.For example a 30S-1
with a 4CX1500B would be illegal to sell? I just ordered an amplifier
with a pair of 4CX800s in it. It will work on 10/12/15 meters. Has
substantial gain (about 50W in for 1500 out). Will I be stuck with
that amplifier forever, or will I be able to someday sell it to another ham?
