Let's honor it for its historic value and the impact it had on our
ancestors. It was the world information highway for many many decades. Let's keep the tradition as Amateur Radio operators do to this very day and will continue to do so for many years to come. Before you bash the code, read URL: http://www.unesco.org/courier/1999_0...onnex/txt1.htm You don't have to learn it or like it or even pass an Amateur Radio exam requiring it, but all reasonable persons should respect it. Your WWII Fathers and Grandfathers certainly did. As well as your WWI and Civil War ancestors. The passengers on the Titanic would have appreciated Maritime Laws concerning its mandatory use at sea. Let's honor it for its historic value and the impact it had on our ancestors. And what does this have to do with amateur radio equipment? There are now three newsgroups for this kind of stuff, .policy .misc and .moderated Keep it in those ones. This is just more proof that the problem wasn't just with the obvious posters, who spew the newsgroups with their corss-posted junk. People who should know better aren't keeping it contained either. Don't forget, this newsgroup, rec.radio.amateur.equipment is for discussing amateur radio equipment. It's not for discussing other things and it's not for buying and selling said amateur radio equipment. Michael VE2BVW |
