Help on Icom R70 Interfacing via Accessory socket

Hi ,
Does anyone have information on how to talk to the accessory socket of the
Icom R70?
My purpose is to simulate a scanning function. I presume this is possible,
but dont know anything about the format, levels and data types required for
external frequency control, also the purposes of DBC, RC, RT, DV, etc.
Any comments appreciated.
