I'm looking for an 8-conductor coiled microphone cord for an Alinco.
A google search found plenty of 6 conductor cords but nothing with more. Are there any places that carry these besides Alinco service? Thanks and 73, Jim N2VX |

Icom does. Well, the 706 has an 8-pin RJ45-type connector but I don't know
if it has wires in all 8 spots. "Jim, N2VX" wrote in message ... I'm looking for an 8-conductor coiled microphone cord for an Alinco. A google search found plenty of 6 conductor cords but nothing with more. Are there any places that carry these besides Alinco service? Thanks and 73, Jim N2VX |

The Icom IC-208H mike uses an 8-pin RJ-45 connector, and the radio, when
mounted away from the operator, requires an optional mike extension cord, which I'd hope extends all 8 wires from the mike to the radio. The original short mike cord has an RJ-45 at each end, so the longer extension cord may end up just replacing the short cord, or it may be a true extension cord, with a jack at one end and a plug at the other end. Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I think I'll just order one from mamma. It's convenient, connectors are on both ends. 73, Jim On Sun, 16 Nov 2003 12:48:54 -0500, "Bob M." wrote: The Icom IC-208H mike uses an 8-pin RJ-45 connector, and the radio, when mounted away from the operator, requires an optional mike extension cord, which I'd hope extends all 8 wires from the mike to the radio.
