I have a very nice Heathkit HW-99 CW Transceiver for sale. It looks almost
new. The front panel is perfect accept for a small mini toggle switch installed below the Band Switch. You turn this switch in the up position to access the 10 meter Band. This appears to be the only modification and the construction of the kit is excellent. I checked it out on all 4 Bands, 80, 40, 15, and 10 Meters. It puts out well above 50 watts on each band. The CW tone is excellent and the receiver is very stable and sensitive. It has a built in 120 Volt Power Supply and speaker. It sounds better on an external speaker. This is a great little CW rig. All you need is a key and an antenna to be on the air. The rig sold for $300 in mid 80's and they only made it for a couple of years, so it is rather rare. The original manual in included. See Product Review in March 1986 QST. Price is $225 shipped in lower 48.. Thanks, Charlie Hugg, K5MBX -- ________________________________ See my Collins, Signal/One & Drake Photo Galleries and Hallicrafters Virtual Museum at: http://hug-a-bug.com |
