Default Oddball jack

Can anyone identify the 4-conductor, 2.5mm jack shown at:
http://www.alancomputech.com/mc-em1.html

The shaft looks like it might be a standard 2.5mm stereo jack. The
collar is something I haven't seen before.

It is on the NEC MobilePro 780 handheld PC I use to control my TNC's.
It is for an earphone-mic, as is shown in the picture.
