Default Model 26 teletype available

Trying again since interested people never seem to follow up... Free in
Gloucester, MA; shipping is probably prohibitive.

I my early ham radio days I had a model 15 and a model 28. I always dreamt of
having a model 26, but I have never seen one in reality, just on the books..

Pity is that Gloucester is some 3500 miles away from where I live, otherwise you
would see me knocking at your door.

The trick is to find someone in the are who is being transfered to Rome and
their company is shipping a container of houshold goods for them. Since the
price is by container, and not by weight, it is often cheaper to ship
a container that is not full than to do it by "lift van" (a custom made
wooden crate).

In years past people wouldstuff their containers with household goods
that they could not get outside the US, such as toilet paper, disposable
diapers, canned tuna, however I think those days are long gone.

If you ask around, you might find someone who is willing to accomodate you.

Geoff.

Thanks for info, but finding someone close to the present owner and willing to
ship a container to Rome may not be that easy.

Anyway I will try... who knows.
