Default Alinco DR-600T Backup Battery

I believe the backup battery on my rig is going down. It will not retain the
memory channels. I opened the rig to see if the battery was something I
could replace but I cannot find one in there. Has anyone replaced the
battery for this rig before? Where is the battery located?

I found a post on the web saying that it took the BR2032/1HE which is a
surface mount battery but for the life of me I can't locate it.

Thanks for any assistance.

Tommy

Tommy.... the battery is located in the control head. Take the back off the
head carefully, and you will find the battery there at the end opposite the
big knob.

It is a solder-in type, and these are available from Mouser and others,
although the shipping will probably be more than the cost of the battery.

Good Luck...

Thanks.. I found the battery and replaced it. I am however still losing my
memory channels if the radio sit's overnight with no power on.

I'm afraid something else has gone bad. I bet it will cost more to fix it
than it is worth. I hate that. It has been a really good radio. I've had it
for probably 10 years or so.
