Default ID Help - Leeds & Northrup Potentiometer

I hope this isn't too far OT; it is regarding a piece of electronic
test equipment.

Knowing my fondness for older test equipment, a good friend has given
me a Leeds & Northrup laboratory-grade potentiometer. I'd like to
find more info on it, but I'm hampered by the missing model number
plate. Outside of that, the unit is in beautiful shape.

The left side of the unit is a galvanometer. Just to the right of the
galvanometer section are two rotary controls. The upper on is a pot
that is used to enter the voltage of the internal standard cell. The
lower control is a rotary switch labeled MILLIVOLTS and the skit of
the knob has two scales (0.0 - 7.5 mV and 0.0 - 1.5 mV). Further to
the right is the main slidewire with two ranges (0.0 - 5.5 mV and 0.0
- 1.1 mV). Further to teh right is the reference junction slidewire,
again with two scales (0.0 - 5.0 mV and 0.0 - 1.0 mV). On the right
side of the case are two brass disks labeled FINE and COARSE that are
connected to pots in series with the internal battry (not the standard
cell).

Can anyone give me an idea as to what the model number might be,
and/or a pointer on how to make temperature measurements with this
unti? It came with two thermocouples. I'm particularly interested in
the use and setting of the FINE and COARSE controls.

Guess I get to answer my own post. A kind person sent me a copy of
some pages from a 1946 L & N catalog. It's a model 8662.
