With its self-explanatory user interface (all Windows versions) and quality
of prediction, the Propagation Wizard, shortly called PropWiz, is unique on
the market. In addition to the Maximum Usable Frequency (MUF), which gives
no information about the quality of the link, PropWiz calculates above all
the reliability of shortwave links, ie the availability of a required
signal-to-noise ratio. The results are graphically represented on the screen
and can be output on a printer. The program supports in particular the Rohde
& Schwarz line of equipment (antennas, transceivers, data modems).

Fully proven in practice
For the calculation of the signal-to-noise ratio, the field strength at the
receiver is determined taking into account the local atmospheric, galactic
and man-made noise according to ITU-R (CCIR) recommendations. Thanks to
PropWiz, the complex calculations and evaluations required until now are
made in no time.

Multi-purpose
It is thus possible to assess the quality of a radio link, i.e. the data
rate at which transmission via shortwaves is possible or if a shortwave link
can be established at all with the antennas selected and the transmitting
power available. The PropWiz also indicates the range of frequencies, which
should be used at a given time of day
