Default Thinking about Buying "Digital Phosphor Oscilloscpe" Tek vs. a real CRT scope

I am considering buying a Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope for use both
as a general purpose lab and bench scope plus for certain specialized
apps. Are they really as tech-friendly as a "real" scope, and do they
hold up pretty well?
