Ends Nov-22-04 19:00:00 PST http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5732411616 Here is an example of the outstanding Harris RF-5020 HF Receiver-Exciter. The unit covers the entire HF range of 1.6 to 30mHz in 10Hz steps when operating from the front panel. 1Hz tuning steps are available through the serial control interface. Power input is 26.4 VDC nominal @ 3amps max. Power out is 100 milliwatts nominal across the range, suitable for driving a wide range of military RF amplifiers, including the matching Harris units, the Redifon GA-481 (which I use), the AM-3007/URT (part of the URC-35), The AM-3349/GRC-106, and the Technical Materiel Corp GPT-1K and PAL-350 to name a few. This radio has a digital I.F., with DSP processing employed during both receive and transmit. Available modes and selectable bandwidths associated with each mode a USB/LSB -- 1.5, 2.0, 2.4, 2.7, 3.0kHz AME -- 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0kHz CW -- 350Hz, 680Hz, 1.0kHz, 1.5kHz Modem and Digital Voice -- 3.0kHz The BFO function is variable +/- 4kHz in 10Hz steps from the front panel or in 1Hz steps through the serial interface. AGC attack/hang/decay data is as follows for settings other than "OFF": FAST - 25msec/100msec/100msec MEDIUM - 25msec/500msec/750msec SLOW - 25msec/1500msec/1500msec DATA - 25ms/0msec/16msec This unit has the following options: RF-5110MD High-Speed Data Modem. In the high-rate 39-tone mode, a channel transmission rate of 3466bps is achieved by time differential phase shift keying (TDPSK) of 39 tones which is combined with forward error correcting to produce data rates ranging from 75 to 2400bps. The modem is used during digital voice operation. RF-5120AFC Harris ALE Automatic Link Establishment. Please note this is the Harris proprietary "Autolink" ALE system. It will work with other systems containing the same option but not with the MIL-STD-188-141 ALE most often encountered on the ham bands. The solution in that case is to set up PC-ALE on your PC. :-) RF-5130LPC Digitized Voice. Uses the U.S. DoD LPC-10E (Version 52) 2400bps algorithm. This unit passes the built-in-test (BITE), which checks operation of the basic radio as well as all installed options. The serial interface is operational, and I will include software I wrote in QuickBasic which allows control of basic radio functions via a PC. The radio has been further checked out on the air via SWLing and numerous ham contacts on 17, 20, 40, 60, and 80 meters. Digital voice and Autolink functions have been checked out on-air, or in side-by-side tests with another functional unit where on-air testing was not practical. Also included is a copy of the User Guide, which is essential for learning the operation of this menu-driven unit. |
