Just listed for Auction on eBay: J.W.Miller AT-2500 Auto Tuner,
including the Bridge Coupler. 7 day listing with a low starting price and reserve well under recent sale of another unit. This is a fully functional unit from an era before everything was controlled by microprocessors. Real motors move the tuning capacitors and arrive at the SWR you choose (from less than 1.5 to 3). It's almost fun to watch it alternately turn the two caps. You wouldn't think it would ever find a match this way, but it does so in a remarkably short time. You do need to set the inductor to the correct range and push a green button, so it's not _totally_ automatic. This tuner was built well, and can easily handle 2500 Watts PEP without strain. eBay item number is 5734684133 a href=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5734684133573468 4133/a More pictures and information also available at http://www.rickfrazier.com/at2500.asp a href=http://www.rickfrazier.com/at2500.aspwww.rickfrazier.com/at2500.asp/a Cleaning out the shack for an upcoming sale of the home, and keeping only what I currently have in use (OK, so I got caught by the microprocessor craze... I use an Icom 746pro, feeding an IC-2KL solid state amp and AT-500 Auto tuner, with an icom 751A as second rig.) Thanks --Rick AH7H |
