Default Has anyone tried the Radio Shack 25A power supply?

Hi all,

I've been looking at the new Radio Shack 25A Switching power supply for the
shack. Have any of you tried these out? Can they truly handle 25A
continuous duty?

Would you recommend one of these over say an Astron, Trip-Lite or Pyramid?

Thanks!

Jim..

Not familiar with the RS supply, but you want to make sure it is
designed for communications use -- that is, it's RFI- and hash-free,
so it doesn't create interference while you're receiving signals.

I'd go with an Astron, to play it safe.

If I remember right, that power supply was made for R-shack by Samlex,
I do have the Samlex 25, and it works fine on all of my Vhf/Uhf rigs.
I never pushed it to see if it will do a continuous 25A though.
Also I have not noticed any noise or interference from it.
