Default VX-2R or VX-5R

I should to make a choice between these two nice radios.

I would go for VX-5R (because it's only about 50$ much than VX-2R).

Which one do you suggest? Is it 50 MHz so important on these kind of radio?

Thanks

I've owned a VX-1R then a VX-5R then a VX-7R(b) and now a
VX-2R. I'm happiest with the VX-2R. Here are my reasons:

1) Size
2) Batteries for the VX-2R can be had on Ebay for $3.00
3) Built in rapid charger
4) FAR better HF recieve
5) More memories
6) Spectrum Sweep mode

My experience with the VX series on 6 meters is they all are
terrible unless you hook up an external antenna or some huge
whip. IMHO a 6 meter HT is not practical due to antenna
limitations.

Both are good. Go for the VX2 if you can live with the lower output
power. Otherwise take the VX5. I use a VX2 for cross band repeat
and it is a fine radio. The ability to use cheap batteries is a +.
