Default Vertical vs Beam

Im looking to put up a better HF antenna than a G5RV which I currently have.
I am debating between a Vertical or a Beam. Please tell me what your using
and your experiences Thanks and 73's

Beams win hands down.

Agree -- but ya gotta get the beam up in the air ---- 42+ feet for a low
angle of radiation for DXing

Beams are a little tough on 75M. Not much easier on 40M.

Wish I could dig out my old photo of the beam farm at the RAAF base in
Western Australia (town and base name currently lost from memory).
Impressive site though! Right down to the low Meg's.
