Default Five by Five Ham Study Software

Has anyone used this software to study with? I have a friend who is
interested in becoming a ham and I am researching study materials. The
demo looks pretty promising.

Anyone out there who tried it and liked it? Any ham neophytes who
actually learned the subject matter? All comments welcome.

Also is the question pool up to date?

Thanks

Before a mad scientist goes mad, there's probably a time
when he's only partially mad. And this is the time when he's
going to throw his best parties.

Actually, most of the questions on the real tests, especially the Tech test,
cover rules, frequencies, etc that must be learned by rote memorization
anyway so I recommend simply take the sample tests on www.qrz.com over and
over til you consistantly score well above passing then c'mon down and take
the test. We'll be giving them at the Salem Church Library, west of
Fredricksburg, Va tomarrow (Saturday) morning.

One really should indulge in a good electronics course too .... It's fun.

Thanks; to all who replied. The program looks pretty good. I might even
upgrade my GROL to GMDSS maintainer. I will pass on the QRZ site to my
freind as well.
