Perhaps some old timers owned an IC701 (HF rig) and are familiar with this
radio. I am trying to identify the adjustment that determines the automatic TX and RX offset in CW mode only. Typically, this should be around 600 Hz or so, but age has moved the automatic offset in CW mode to point where the RIT needs to be turned on and swung all the way over clockwise, almost to the end. This should be a relatively minor adjustment. That said, I'm uncertain as to which control it is. Is there anyone who knows this radio who can help? 28 years of fine service for the IC701, to be replaced with an IC756 Pro III in the next few months. I hope. In the meantime.... Jozef WB2MIC |
