Default FS: Boonton Grid Dip Meter

For Sale: Boonton Model 59 Grid Dip Meter

Seems to be complete and probably works, but it hasn't been powered up since
about 1969. It should be repowered in such a way as to reform the
electrolytic capacitors. Or these capacitors should be replaced.
So I haven't tried powering on the unit myself.

Pictures of this type of instrument can be seen on the web at:
http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~postr/bapix/Dip_59.htm
where it is described as:
-----------------------------------------------
The Measurements Corporation Model 59 "Megacycle Meter" is arguably one of
the best grid dip meters ever made. Its large meter, separate head, quality
of components, and regulated power supply are part of why this is a
preferred grip dip meter.
-----------------------------------------------

The manual for the Model 59 is available on the web at:

ftp://bama.sbc.edu/downloads/boonton/59/
ftp://bama.edebris.com/bama/boonton/59/59mcmtr.djvu

$50 CDN (or best offer) plus shipping FOB Toronto.

This is a steal at this price. There is not another GDO on the market that
can compare in sensitivity or build qulaity.
Peter- you might try listing under the rec.homebrew group also.
