well it would depend greatly on what bands you wished to work mobile
the Icom 208H is a tiny 2/70cm FM rig with detachable face the radio could fit nearly anywhere if you wanted HF the Icom 706 would do nicely you could mount the radio under a seat or in the truck and mount the face somewhere flat and easy to see as for antennas the field is wide open depending only on how deep your pockets are wrote: Looking to install a mobile rig in a 2005 Chevy Malibu with the same interior/console/dashboard as shown in the attached picture. Any recommendations for equipment, to include transcievers, amplifiers, antenna, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to keep the cost to a minimum. |
