GAY BISHOPS: WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?

The Anglican church is on the brink of a 'worldwide split' over the
question of allowing gay clergy. The Anglican church in Africa has
even threatened to separate from the Anglican church in Britain and
America if they continue to allow homosexual priests and Bishops.

Christians ignore almost every other teaching in the Bible, so what do
they have against homosexuals? When Christians argue that the Bible
forbids homosexuality, this is not only hypocrisy, it is also
disgraceful bigotry. They are picking and choosing the parts of the
Bible that suit their own hateful and divisive beliefs, while ignoring
the rest of the scriptures.

In the Bible God strictly and specifically forbids charging interest
on a loan (Ex 22.25), and especially the repossession of property by a
lender (Ex 22.27), but this happens every day so why don't Christians
complain about this abomination too?

"If you lend money to my people, to the poor among you,
you shall not deal with them as a creditor; you shall not
ask interest from them." (Exodus 22:25.)

"...lend, expecting nothing in return." (Luke 6:34-35).

There are literally thousands of examples of laws found in the Bible
which most Christians totally ignore, and many Christians are not even
aware of these laws. So why stop at banning homosexuality?
Unfortunately, a Christian's knowledge of scripture is typically
limited to the same selected readings which are repeated year after
year in their Church, and few Christians ever bother to learn about
their religion for themselves. These are the only once-a-week
Christians who are all that is left of the original tradition started
by Jesus Christ two thousand years ago; like 'Sunday drivers', these
people are 'Sunday Christians'.

If you want to know why the Church is dissolving, and why the society
we live in is becoming increasingly secular, perhaps it's time you
found out about the Latin motto found on the US official Great Seal
and printed on every one dollar bill: Novus Ordo Seclorum - the New
World Order, or the Secular New Order.
