This is directed at those who own or use the IFR FM/AM 1600S
series service monitor.

I've just become the proud owner of one. I've figured out many
functions just by futzing with the menus. However, one thing still
eludes me.

How in the Multiverse do you set the thing up to transmit a
DPL/DCS code or PL tone along with the standard 1KHz test tone?

Hi this is a very good test set ! you can make all test with the 1600s but
is a litle more completely AS 1200S.

IN GEN MODE : press SETUP, then signaling format : then use 11 ( user setup ) press EXIT or RT (return ) and go to the fist menu. now select in the
AF GEN : SETUP , select GEN 1, and select 1 kz tone, press ENTER , now if
you need to dpl tone, go to signaling format, select digital, then dpl tone.

is not easy in the first time ! with practice, this 1600s make a miracle !
