Please be advised that when you visit http://donotcall.gov there is a
link (hidden) in the source code that contacts an AT&T server which then tracks your every move. This was reported on TechTV this morning. Here is the code: img BORDER="0" NAME="DCSIMG" WIDTH="1px" HEIGHT="1px" SRC="http://g6589dcs.nyc2.aens.net/DCS000003_6D4Q/njs.gif?dcsuri=/nojavascript" |

Alternatively, an entry in one's /etc/hosts or lmhosts, directing that server to be 127.0.0.1, should do the trick nicely. -- Dr. Anton Squeegee, Director, Dutch Surrealist Plumbing Institute (Known to some as Bruce Lane, KC7GR) kyrrin a/t bluefeathertech d-o=t c&o&m "Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati" (Red Green) |
