![]() "Paul B" wrote in message ... On top of a $500,000 investment, Earthlink has just invested another $3.5 million. You folks who are Earthlink subscribers are helping to pay for the BPL investment. (See http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/41140) So why don't you put some action behind your anti-BPL rhetoric and walk away from Earthlink? Any ham who opposes BPL while s/he continues to use Earthlink as an ISP has to be viewed as a very large hypocrite. The idea of a boycott is not a bad one.. but there is the unfortunate circumstance that in a large number of small and medium sized communities, EarthStink is the only game in town.. |

This only helps me retain my decision to never use them again. |

Remember the scene in "Braveheart" ? The scotts just annihilated 300 heavy
horse and riders and the commander of the british tells his subordinate "YOU lead them". If we followed your logic, every person who was personally responsible for sending jobs overseas should be executed. So you do it. There would be a lot of blood all over the place because to many corporate pukes WANT the damn BPL, no matter how many were wiped out. Similarly, no matter how many people take exception to the current administration, it will continue because so many want it, no matter what it does to our country or the world. However, in the case of the current administration, there is an active resistance who would have absolutely no qualms about liquidating the opposition. Perhaps you might join them - they would love to destroy our infrastructure. "Strength and Honor" "Paul B" wrote in message ... ![]() Earthstink is being bought out as we speak. Seems that I'm that small fish in that food chain diagram. My ISP, netcom (one of the earliest subscription flat rate ISP's on the 'net) got swallowed by Mindspring, then that swallowed by Earthlink. Even with support for bpl, it's still a step above aol.... ;-) |
