Default Hustler Antenna part needed..

Hello all,

I have the Hustler coils but, I'm missing the 54" mast they mount on.
The coils I'm talking about are the old white coils for 10-15-20-40-80
meters that were kinda popular 10 or 15 years ago. I'd be more than
happy with the solid mast but, a folding one is acceptable as well.

Does anyone have one of these laying around they want to part with??

OR, maybe someone has come up with a work around for the mast. I'm
trying to mount these on the roll bar on my pickup truck so height is
not a problem.. I can only get them down to a 3:1 swr though.. Any
ideas??

Drop me an e-mail and we'll work out the $$'s.

The mast is the most important part. It is where the majority of the
radiation happens. The coil and "stinger" are there primarily to get
resonance. It is also the combination of the mast-length and coil-whip
which gets the feed impedance closer to 50 ohms. Since it is a 3/8-24,
anything you come up with is ok. Any kind or tube, pipe, angle iron &
bracket you can come up with should work. It can be a little longer and the
stinger will be shorter or visa-versa. A good (short length) connection to
the car frame-roll bar is also important for the "low" side of the coax.
