Default Icom 730 zero-beat question

I have an Icom 730 that I purchased several months ago and I have recently
stated to get interested in making more CW contacts and improving my code
skills. I have made a few contacts already, but I haven't answered any CQ's
yet. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the correct way to zero-beat a
CW signal with the Icom 730? I didn't see anything in the 730 manual, but
the offset for the Icom 730 is 800 Hz. Can anyone that has had or currently
owns a 730 tell me how to properly zero-beat a CW signal with this radio?
Thanks for the help.

I don't have that radio, but I would imagine that you'd match the signal to the
side tone, then use the RIT/Clarifier to the tone you prefer.

I just tune the other station for a pleasing ( to me ) received CW
note, and like jw, if necessary use the RIT/Clarifier to do a final
adjust to the receiver frequency if the other staion does the same. I
could be mistaken, but as I recall, the IC-730 will tune to the
nearest 100 Hz due to it's PLL. That could require you to use the
RIT/Clarifier to get the most pleasing CW note on receive. Just make
sure to turn it off after the contact is finished, otherwise with the
next contact, you could wind up chasing each other across the band.
