I am new to ham. I have a 2 meter only mobile rig in my truck. I have
been thinking of getting a dual mode 2m 440 for the truck. Could I work
a satelite form my truck with this radio? Can I work on with just my
current 2 meter only and scanner? Can I use a homemade antenna? Thanks

Most are setup for high band in, low band out. And FM is not a 'normal'
mode for satellite work. However there are some that do/did work FM.
SSB/CW is the prefered mode.

Yes, I do read them but sometimes they are still difficult to
