Default ME E T I N G

At the last meeting, on Oct 17, 2004 we agreed that meetings would
be held from 1 to 5 pm on the third Sundays of odd-numbered months,
at the Parm-Snow Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL).

(1)LOCATION of NEXT MEETING on Sunday Jan 16,2005

As we did last time, we will hold the meeting in the large meeting
room at the Cuyahoga County Public Library , Parma-Snow branch at
2121 Snow Rd in Parma. It is just a little west of Broadview Rd,
across from McDonald's.(Snow Rd is the continuation of Rockside Rd
west of Broadview Rd.)Take I-77 to the Rockside Rd exit and go West
past Broadview Rd.

This is a private meeting room and holds up to 75 people. Available
equiptment includes a large screen TV monitor, and it also has a
digital projector for viewing the screen of a laptop (or desktop)
computer. A 15 pin "monitor out" connection is needed on the PC. If
needed,I can also furnish a mini TV camera for viewing the scanner
display and also a laptop running Windows XP Pro that also has
internet access. (Let me know if anyone needs to use these items.)

2) MEETING TIME

Sunday Jan 16, 2004 from 1pm to 4:45 pm. The library hours are 1:00
pm to 5:00pm on Sundays. Please turn off your scanners before
entering the library. The meeting room is in the North-East corner
of the building. Everyone can help setup and we should hopefully
start the actual program by 1:15 or so.

3) MEETING TOPICS

Here is what Mark and Erik have been working on:

General MilAir:
- Callsign Database/Listing
- Recorded .wav Files
- MilAir Dictionary/Acronyms
- Web Resources
- Yahoo and Internet Groups
- Webpages of Interest

UHF/VHF:
- Aerial Refueling Frequencies and Map
- Cleveland ARTCC Frequencies
- Other MilAir Frequency Listings
- Proper search techniques and step size

They have also discussed the possiblity of touching on HF Monitoring
and Satcomm Monitoring.

If anyone has any related topics that they would like to present,
feel free to email Mark at

5)MEETING PUBLICITY

This is going to be a great meeting, and maybe we can increase
attendance if we publicize it a little. I have prepared the
following text shown below, if anyone wants to fancy it up, make it
into a flyer, and post it in the group files, maybe members would
volunteer and get permission from libraries, electronic stores etc
to post them. Or, feel free to post the text on related groups.
Thanks

I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the meeting!
