Default Cell Phone Jammers

Saw cell phone jammers, both personal and large area type,

I don't understand people who complain of others using
cell phones to get stuff done or such while waiting on
line to pay for stuff at a store. You should be mad at the
store for forcing us to waste time on line than me trying
to use that time with the cell phone.

Robert wouldn't that be OK? Much the same, say, as discussing something
first hand with someone right at your elbow while waiting in line. Could be
good use of your time and one more chore taken care of?
Seems more like it's 'inappropriate and cell phone use that disturbs others
or disrupts the purpose of whatever is going on in that venue, that is being
criticised here?
Of course there are always people who like to show off how important they
are (or not) to talk loudly about their business or just have no
consideration or manners anyway. They, like the poor, will always be with
us; just feel sorry for their uncouthness!
I vividly recall a woman, with a so called 'Upper class British accent'
telling a whole train carriage load of people, via the use of her cell phone
"Yes darling; we are on this quaint little train and ......... please will
you get a car to pick us up at ..... ". Translation; "I'm used to much
better things than all this and the people here are beneath me in social
station etc. etc. ".
Radio amateurs are not like that. Unfailingly polite and considerate, on the
phone, on the air, anywhere. It's requirement of the hobby, is it not? :-)
