Help, I need to find out how you can tell if an Icom R-7000 is frequency
(c-phone) blocked. Also, do all R-7000 cover the SHF band, ~1000MHz - 20,000MHz? IOW: are all R-7000 the same? Thank you. west AF4GC |

Thank you. west AF4GC No, the older ones (like mine) are not cell-phone blocked, the newer ones are. The older ones sell at a higher price (even though picking up digital cell conversations would be tough). It's simple to check, just try to tune them in and see if they get any signals.
