magazine. QST is the one who lost money, but then that's what voting
with your wallet is all about... Reading QST at B&N is not "sampling". It is hypocritical. Since you are boycotting the ARRL by not being a member, your "sampling" of the magazine in the book store is absolute hypocrisy. You want the benefits of the organization without paying for them. If you are going to boycott the ARRL, do it right. Don't read their magazine. -- And stop using the frequencies they fought to protect without your help. It is a Psychological defense mechanism to go to great extremes to construct a justification for doing something we deep down feel is wrong. We lie to convince ourselves they have done some great wrong, and we lie to ourselves that we never do wrong to anyone else. Somehow this has become the norm, but that doesn't mean it isn't anti-social or even destructive behavior. "Do unto others as you would have them do to you" (and don't fool yourself into believing you really are). Of course I would prefer no one used ME as a training example, so perhaps I am guilty too. Perhaps if I don't give the person's name I can forgive myself? |
