I said, 'I mean your cellfone, it just sent something in Morse code'. He gave me the strange look again and says 'Uh, mmm-kay'. -Bill Hey OM: The messages on my cell are sent in CW. I used it just for work. My boss sent her phone number and it came to me in CW on my phone. My phone was a refurb. so I don't know how they did it. I've searched for that program but to no avail. 73 OM n8zu |

If he were a geek, the clock would read out in BINARY (or Hexadecimal). I worked on mainframe computer systems for 27 years and had a BCD clock with neon lamp display, the counters used 12AX7s. It ran on my desk for years and one of the new guys had built one using 74 seies ICs. He just could not believe it the day he saw me changing tubes in my clock. Jimmie |

Last year I gave my wife a shirt that said "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate." (She's a biologist) and my son got "I'm as [Gaussian distribution equation] as anyone," both from Thinkgeek.com. I saw plans for a one-button Morse Code electronic combination lock once, but never got around to making one. Also, it would be nice if someone made a Java ap. that allowed text entry via Morse code. My daughter can type fast and accurately without looking using T9 on the keypad, but I always end up with the wrong ambiguous word (e. g. "good" in place of "home") in my messages. |
