I came by some old 1Ghz directional couplers. They were marked "Bad".
I opened up a couple of them and they look like they would make great
project boxes for preamps, osc.... etc. Inside measures aprox 3 X 1.5
X .75 and wall thickness is .25 inches. It is about a 1 lb block of
CNC machined brass. Ive seen dozens of these or similar at hamfest
that could have been had for nearly nothing. From now on Im keeping an
eye out for them.
