Listened to many a ball game on a little one tube ginny I built from
plans in a book I found in the school library. . Later added a pre-
amp and two tube audio amp. Last thing I added to it was a preselector
using two ferrite loop sticks and a 2 section variable cap. All the
different sections were on their own chassis. It evolved to its final
stage over 8 years. When I was in college my friends thought I was
nuts for listening to a junky radio like that.
